Dubai isn’t only about luxury, with tens of thousands of dollars worth of luxury automobiles, clothes, and accessories. In Dubai, you may get unique and one-of-a-kind experiences.
This lovely city really enchanted us.
Why Dubai?
Despite the fact that our trip to Dubai was almost 3 years ago, I couldn’t let this blog exist without telling you about our experience and the most common things people do in Dubai during their visits.
There’s something for everyone in this desert paradise, whether it’s the city’s magical beaches, fascinating nightlife, or materialistic pleasures.
If you can somehow travel back half a century and visit Dubai, all you would find would be a desert and a small coastal village. Oil has aided the city’s rapid expansion, but tourism is now keeping the trend alive.
Nothing in Dubai is done on a small budget or on a level that isn’t world-class.
We were thinking where to travel for our honeymoon (even though it was only for four days), and choosing Dubai for our special trip was a great idea.
Our trip to Dubai: Where we stayed
During our 4 day trip we stayed in Jumeirah Mina al Salam hotel.
It’s modern and cozy and at the same time has an ancient Arabic aura. The resort is located in the canter of the entire Madinat Jumeirah complex, which is connected by canals.
Only a five-minute drive away is the Mall of the Emirates, which offers a wide range of food and entertainment options. Dubai International Airport is around half an hour away from the hotel.
Things to do in Jumeirah Mina A’ Salam
The Jumeirah Beach Hotel has a number of restaurants where guests can dine. Enjoy half-board dining at 20 partner restaurants in Dubai, which includes free breakfast and dinner.

Head down to the old markets if you want to discover what life was like before the buildings and luxury hotels.
This is the location to go if you want to buy traditional ornaments or a headscarf. The variety of fabrics and spices available seemed to be limitless.
2. Dubai Desert Safari Tour
We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the Arabian desert outside of town. Desert car excursions and desert camel rides were included in the package.
And while our heads were wrapped in traditional Emirati headscarves as we rode on a camel. We watched a falconry show, ate Emirati cuisine, listened to traditional music, and smoked hookah.
You can watch a traditional Tanura dance and other cultural activities on stage, such as belly dancing and a fire show, while tasting local delicacies. It was the ideal way to cap off a great evening!
3. Burj Khalifa (The Tallest Building in the World)
The Burj Khalifa is the world’s tallest skyscraper.
One of the must-do activities in Dubai in 4 days is to visit the world’s tallest tower.
Burj Khalifa stands at an amazing 830 meters (2,720 feet) in height, and you’ll be continuously under its sight everywhere you walk in Dubai.
The Burj Khalifa’s fountain show: every half-hour after the sun sets, the fountains spring to life and put on a magnificent three-minute show with music.
4. Dubai Mall | Aquarium
The Dubai Mall combines high-class shopping with world-class food, entertainment, and other attractions to provide an unrivaled shopping experience. It is positioned as the Middle East’s fashion hub thanks to The Fashion Avenue, a zone dedicated to over 150 new luxury shopping and dining experiences.
In terms of land area, the Dubai Mall is the world’s largest mall.
Thousands of aquatic animals from over 140 different species can be seen in the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo. In their 10 million liter tank, they have around 400 sharks and rays, including Sand Tiger Sharks, Giant Groupers, and a variety of other fish species.
If you only have few days in Dubai, you could be compelled to spend an entire day in Dubai Mall due to the abundance of things to see and do. Isn’t it time to spend a lazy afternoon on one of the beach resorts?
